ABOUT US

The Department of Political Science and International Relations was established within the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2010, left this faculty in 2017, and was incorporated into the Faculty of Political Sciences.
Department consists of five divisions: Political Science, Political History, International Politics, International Law, and European Union.
Department of Political Science and International Relations aims to raise individuals who can think freely, versatile, analytically, and critically, and who have the knowledge, skills, and maturity required by modern science, with its staff equipped with the qualities required by contemporary science.
The aim of  International Relations as a discipline is to examine the role of international actors, especially the state in global and regional relations, what affects the behavior of these actors in the historical process, and what possible behavior patterns may emerge in the future by bringing new perspectives to existing theoretical and practical studies.
In the Department of Political Science and International Relations, in addition to basic field courses such as Political History, International Politics, International Relations Theory, International Law, Foreign Policy Analysis, International Organizations, Turkish Foreign Policy, courses on the Middle East, Caucasus, Central Asia, Latin America, and Europe are also offered within the scope of regional studies and work in the fields.
