Mission

The mission of the Department of Social Work is to educate competent social work professionals who respect human rights, are committed to social justice and equality, think critically, uphold ethical values, and are equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The department aims to promote the well-being of individuals, families, groups, and communities; empower disadvantaged populations; and support the production of scientific knowledge and practice-based approaches to address social problems.
