Institute of Social Sciences

Our university was established with the Law No. 6005 dated 14.07.2010 and published in the Official Gazette dated 21.7.2010, under which the Institute was founded.

By the letter of the Higher Education Council Presidency dated 13.02.2012 and numbered B.30.0.EÖB-101.02.02-907/7202, all graduate programs and students enrolled in these programs within the Selçuk University Institute of Social Sciences were transferred to our Institute.

On 11.04.2012, with the enactment of Article 20 of Law No. 6287, published in the Official Gazette with the number 28261, the name of our university, which was originally "Konya University," was changed to "Necmettin Erbakan University."

Our Mission

The primary goal of the graduate programs (master's and doctoral) within the Institute of Social Sciences is to ensure the execution and development of graduate education, teaching, and research activities. We aim to train students and academics who are qualified, capable of analytical thinking, possess the necessary knowledge and skills in their fields, and can interpret and guide the ongoing changes and transformations in a globalized world. Additionally, we strive to lead scientific research in the field of social sciences, addressing the needs of our country.
