About Us

Necmettin Erbakan University Aeronautical Engineering Department was established in 2011 and started its education in the 2013-2014 academic year with 30% English. Undergraduate education based on the English preparatory class is carried out as a single program. Academic staff consists of 2 Professors, 3 Doctoral Faculty Members, 2 Research Assistants.
Aeronautical Engineering is a branch of engineering that aims to design, analyze, produce and develop structures such as aircraft, helicopters, multicopters, unmanned systems, rockets and weapon systems that move in the air such as bullets. In this engineering branch the necessary infrastructure is also acquired to develop skills related to the maintenance, repair and operation of the vehicles in question. It also contributes to research-development and design activities in subjects related to other industries. Therefore, Aeronautical Engineering finds its place in a wide range from the defense and aircraft industry to the automotive industry.
In order to successfully complete the Aeronautical Engineering program, students must take at least 240 ECTS credits and have a GPA of 2.00 out of 4.00. Candidates who have successfully completed their undergraduate education can study in graduate programs in their field or related fields, provided that they get a valid grade from the ALES exam and have sufficient English language knowledge.
