1- What is the grade for passing a course?

The passing grade is at least 70 for Master with Thesis and Non-Thesis Master's, and at least 75 for PhD program.

2- How many years is ALES result valid?

ALES result is valid for 5 years.

3- Can Anadolu University Open Education Faculty graduates do a master's degree?

Yes you can.

4- How can I access the necessary information for military service?

You can access by clicking on the Military Service Directive in the Instructions Section. You can follow your Postponement Status from Institute Automation.

5 - Do I have a chance to freeze registration due to military service?

Military service is a sufficient excuse to freeze registration for male students. During your military service, your registration can be frozen if you submit a petition to the institute.

6- How can I get my diploma?

The diploma documents prepared are published in the announcements section of the website https://www.konya.edu.tr/sosyalbilimlerenstitusu. You can get the diplomas published here from the Institute student affairs.

8- What are the Documents Required for Final Registration?

In the announcements section of our institute's home page, the documents required for final registration for Master's, Doctorate, Master's without Thesis are announced during the application periods.

9- Do graduate students have to renew their registration every semester?

Graduate students must renew their registration each semester. Even if it is at the thesis stage, each semester must renew its registration.

10- When will the application dates and application conditions for graduate programs be announced?

Application dates for graduate programs (Non-Thesis Master, Master, Doctorate) are announced on our website in June-July-August.

11- How are exams and evaluations done in graduate programs?

In graduate programs, a Final and Make-up exam is given for each course during the semester.

12- What is the attendance requirement in graduate programs?

In graduate programs, attendance is compulsory and the student must attend 70% of the course throughout the semester in order to gain the right to enter the final exam.

13- When can I get a Student Certificate?

By presenting a student ID, you can get it during working hours or via E-Devlet.

 15- How long is the duration of the Master without Thesis?

The Master without Thesis program must be completed in 3 semesters at most. Those who exceed this period are dismissed from the institute.

16- Is it necessary to take ALES exams for students coming from abroad?

Students whose undergraduate degrees are abroad do not have to take the ALES exam. Turkey completed the undergraduate program in foreign nationals must be entered ales for Master's students are sought. There is no limit to the score.

17- If I want to cancel my registration after I have frozen my master's enrollment, can a certain percentage of tuition and registration fees be recovered?

No, it cannot.

18- Is ALES score in Master's Degree valid for students who have completed their master's degree and applied to the doctorate without interruption?

If he applies for a PhD without interruption after the Master's Degree, the ALES he used in his Master's Degree is valid.

19- How long is the time to finish the Master's program with thesis?

The period for completing the master's program cannot be less than two years. The normal duration of study for Master's with Thesis programs is 4 semesters. At the end of 4 semesters, students continue their education by paying a maximum of 2 more semesters. A student who cannot complete the course term of the Master with Thesis (courses and seminars) in 4 semesters and who cannot complete the course and thesis periods in 6 semesters is dismissed from the program.

20-I completed the lectures, gave a seminar and thesis proposal. When can I take the Master's Thesis Defense Exam?

The defense date of the master's thesis cannot be less than two semesters from the date of acceptance of the thesis proposal.

21-How long is the duration of the doctorate program?

The time to complete the doctorate program is 8 semesters for those who are accepted with a master's degree. Students who cannot complete the 8 semesters continue their education for 4 more semesters by paying tuition fees. Students who cannot complete their education at the end of this period are dismissed from the program. For those who are accepted to the doctorate program with a bachelor's degree, the maximum is nine years. The duration for completing the doctorate program cannot be less than six semesters at most and the duration of thesis preparation cannot be less than three semesters. The maximum period of successfully completing the credit courses required for the doctorate program is two years for those who are accepted with a master's degree with thesis, and three years for those who are accepted with a bachelor's degree.

22-When does the Thesis Monitoring Committee (Tik) convene and how many should be given?
