What is Erasmus+?

What is Erasmus+ Program?

Erasmus+ Program is a new program that replaced Lifelong Learning and Youth Programs that had been implemented between 2007-2013. Erasmus+ is run by the European Union. The program is mainly based on project activities but also includes individual activities. It is possible to define the Erasmus+ Higher Education program as a European Union Program aimed at encouraging higher education institutions to cooperate with each other and the business world. The program provides non-refundable financial support for activities of Higher Education Institutions such as joint projects with each other and short-term student and staff exchange. In addition, it aims to develop the higher education system in accordance with the needs of the business world and to increase the employability of higher education graduates in the business world. It also encourages increasing relations and cooperation between institutions and working environments. With the Erasmus+ Program, it is aimed to provide people with new skills regardless of their age and educational background, to strengthen their personal development, and to increase their employment opportunities. Erasmus+ covers the fields of education, training, youth, and sports.
